Tutoring in the Student Success Center

The goal of our tutoring program is to help students be more successful with their coursework at Truman while becoming independent learners. To that end, trained tutors will provide guidance and instruction to help students with skills and concepts that assist students with their coursework.  Success Center Tutors will not do the work for students, only facilitate learning by asking open ended and leading questions that promote students to unlock knowledge and master the needed skills and concepts for success in their coursework. Faculty will be consulted regarding tutoring policy and the hiring of tutors. 

Success Center Tutoring  available at these locations:

1st floor Kirk Building, Success Center office located in room 112

Tutoring available Monday through Friday 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.  (and by appointment)

Success Center Pickler (PML 104)

Tutoring available: Monday through Thursday 5:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. (and by appointment) Please Check schedule for specific times.

                                Sunday 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. (and by appointment)

Spring 2010 Tutoring Schedule for Truman's Student Success Center.  Tutoring takes place in 112 Kirk from 9:00am to 5:00pm.  All tutoring after 5:00pm and on Sundays takes place in Pickler Memorial Library room PML 104.  If you have questions regarding the schedule, please email trumansuccess@truman.edu.  More subjects are being added daily!

If you can not find a time for a tutor on our Google Calendar, click on the above link to download the Academic Support Request form to use to request academic support through the Student Success Center.  Be sure to fill out your name, contact information, Courses needing academic tutoring support, and mark your available times for tutoring.  Todd Phillips, the director, will respond with available tutor coverage. Email the completed form to trumansuccess@truman.edu or drop the completed form off at 112 kirk in the Success Center office.
